Exhibited at the “3rd Sakura Festival” in Nice, South of France!

Hello everyone! This is COM Hanko Shop.
The other day, we exhibited at the “3rd Sakura Festival” held in the beautiful resort city of Nice in the South of France!
This year is a memorable anniversary year, marking the 60th anniversary of the sister city affiliation between Nice and Kamakura.
Today, we would like to share with you the enthusiastic atmosphere of the event in France!

Right In Front of the Concert Hall! Exhibiting in the Best Location

This Sakura Festival was held at two venues: the “C.U.M (Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen)” for concerts and lectures, and the “Asian Arts Museum” for workshops.
Thanks to a wonderful connection, we at COM Hanko Shop were given the privilege of setting up a special booth in the absolute best location, right next to the entrance of the main hall!
Because it was a spot that everyone excitedly passed through on their way to the concert, so many people stopped by to take a look.

🎋 Adults and Children Alike Were Fascinated by the “Hanko x Tanabata” Experience!

The most exciting part of our exhibition this time was the trial hanko stamping experience!

Since the event was held close to Tanabata (the Star Festival), we prepared traditional Japanese “Tanabata tanzaku” (wish strips). There were many people in France who were seeing a hanko for the very first time! “What is this used for?” “How are they made?” Everyone was so curious. When our staff explained the hanko culture and the story of Tanabata, they listened with great enthusiasm.

“I’m amazed by how fine and exquisite the designs are, completely different from a standard rubber stamp!” “Stamping the tanzaku myself is so much fun!”

Before we knew it, the front of our booth was always full of smiles and a crowd of people, from small children to adults. It was a wonderful time that allowed everyone to experience hanko culture firsthand.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came to our booth despite the intense heatwave over the two days, and to MONACO EMU and all the staff who gave us this wonderful opportunity. COM Hanko Shop will continue to carefully deliver this wonderful culture not only within Japan but to the rest of the world.
